DEPARTMENT FOR DEVELOPMENT AND INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS OF ZENICA-DOBOJ CANTON ORGANISED 2 EVENTS WITHIN “TEESCHOOLS” PROJECTS

The project TEESCHOOLS (Transferring Energy Efficiency in Mediterranean Schools) has been approved under the Interreg MED Mediterranean Program 2014-20120 (Interreg MED), with the aim of promoting sustainable growth in the Mediterranean area, by fostering innovative concepts and practices, and the reasonable use of resources by supporting social integration through an integrated territorial approach based on cooperation.

The project was approved under the First Call for Modular Design Proposals of the Interreg Mediterranean Program 2014-2020 (MED): Priority axis 2 – Promotion of low-carbon strategies and energy efficiency in specific MED areas; Specific Objective 2.1 – Strengthen Capacities for Better Energy Management in Public Buildings at Transnational Level. The lead partner in this project is the Italian State Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA). The project includes a total of 14 partners from Italy, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Cyprus, France and Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of the project implementation partners is the Department for Development and International Projects of Zenica-Doboj Canton. Project duration is 36 months.

 

Project TEESCHOOLS main deliverables:

  • Integrated set of tools that support energy efficiency management in schools with a carbon footprint calculator; Database on Best Practices for NZEB Energy Rehabilitation of School Buildings; financial solutions and schemes for energy efficiency;
  • Pilot Application in School Buildings: Energy Audits, Renewal Plans, Carbon calculating of the reconstruction activities, Energy Service Model Development, and Financing Schemes.
  • E-learning and face-to-face training of regional and local technical staff, energy managers and students.
  • Policy recommendations development and integrated project deliverables into local plans.

During the 24th and 25th October 2018, within the realization of project activities, Department for Development and International Projects of Zenica-Doboj Canton was the organizer of two events: the External Training Course and the World Cafe Event in Zenica. External training course within the realization of Deliverables D 4.4.4 has gathered about 40 stakeholders from the Zenica-Doboj Canton, which attended a practical demonstration of the Integrated Set of tools that support energy efficiency management in schools with a carbon calculator. The World Cafe event under the realization of the deliverable D 4.4.5 brought together 30 stakeholders from Zenica-Doboj Canton, who contributed to the topic: “Changes in Energy Efficiency Behaviour in Schools”.
